Hunting season has opened in Iraq.
Two gay men were killed in Baghdad’s Sadr City slum, a local official said on Saturday, and police said they had found the bodies of four more after clerics urged a crackdown on a perceived spread of homosexuality.
Eric Hoffer once observed that movements can spread without a god, but not without a devil — and he was right. Holy Men need devils to maintain their influence and, apparently, just as here in the United States, they’ve picked homosexuals.
