About

Civil Commotion is about whatever happens to interest me most on any particular day, but generally that’s the malign and growing influence of fundamentalist religion both domestically and internationally.

By way of introduction, I was educated at Michigan Tech, earning a B.S. degree in Geological Engineering in 1978, and a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering in 1979. I am the geotechnical engineer-of-record for approximately 3000 constructed projects ranging from convenience stores to highrises to earth-fill dams to launch pad facilities at the Kennedy Space Center, and some classified stuff.
