And, since the doctrine of Original Sin is nonsense … there you go: Christianity is certainly not true, and it’s premises are harmful.
Note this, too: The Christian psychologist or counselor’s very first task is to convince you that you’re no damn good, that you were born depraved, guilty, and deserving eternal punishment. Only after you accept that can you begin the vital work of self-annihilation, of surrendering your self-direction and self-control and transforming yourself into an aimless mote of dust blown hither and yon according to to the whim of Our Invisible Friend.
Bah. In the hands of such as Piper et. al., ‘Christianity’ is just the name of a sickness.
