It’s almost like they now have to choose between a gay father and a church that they love. This is almost too much to bear.

Well. Not only is Ben Carson a nutjob who believes in a literal 6-day creation, and who rejects evolution, and never-ever stabbed anybody, and believes the pyramids are actually colossal granaries, he also flat-out lied about applying to, and being accepted by, West Point.
The academy has occupied a central place in Carson’s tale for years. According to a story told in Carson’s book, “Gifted Hands,” the then-17 year old was introduced in 1969 to Gen. William Westmoreland, who had just ended his command of U.S. forces in Vietnam, and the two dined together. That meeting, according to Carson’s telling, was followed by a “full scholarship” to the military academy.
West Point, however, has no record of Carson applying, much less being extended admission.

When presented with this evidence, Carson’s campaign conceded the story was false.
The Republican freak show is growing downright painful.
The Mormons have finally figured-out what to do about those gay people: Those who are in same-sex relationships will be run off as “apostates,” and their children may join the church only if they “disavow the practice of same-gender cohabitation and marriage.”
So you can’t belong if you’re gay, and neither may your children unless they trash you. Remember this story next time some smarmy yahoo begins prattling about “family values.”
I have been telling y’all for years, and I am not wrong — religion is the enemy of healthy families, because the loyalties of healthy families undermine the clergy’s total ownership of their sheep. It is as simple and rotten as that.
As usual, Jonathan Edwards sets the record straight. pic.twitter.com/5iJSCWhxwJ

Remember: Y’all are no damn good.
Church and Christian organization contracts/covenants are one big fat con job and you, lowly person, are the one who is being conned.
Personally, it’s been kind of fun to watch the evolution of the Wartburg ladies; I don’t believe for an instant they would have written that sentence when they started out. Somewhere in Nietzsche, probably The Antichrist, there is a great observation to the effect that you don’t know how rotten Christianity actually is till you’ve been close to it. Point! to Friedrich, then.
