I know, I know … it just goes to show you how irremediably wicked I am, but, seriously: Why would the Creator Of The Whole Big Universe, He who flung 2,000,000,000,000 galaxies into space, each of them comprised of billions of stars, care a hoot whether the relatively feeble occupants of a minor planet are glorifying Him?

Or is it really all about the glorification of the Holy Man in the dress and funny hat?

… that ambient light has prevented you from ever seeing the Milky Way galaxy. According to NASA, you’re missing-out on viewing 1,999,999,999,999 other galaxies, too.

The universe suddenly looks a lot more crowded, thanks to a deep-sky census assembled from surveys taken by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope and other observatories.

Astronomers came to the surprising conclusion that there are at least 10 times more galaxies in the observable universe than previously thought.

And, since each galaxy is comprised of billions of stars, many of them with a solar system of planets orbiting around them, the likelihood that there is other life “out there” is far greater than previously imagined.

It isn’t very likely that we’ll ever meet our neighbors, but it is very near to a statistical certainty that we are not alone. I wonder if they, too, believe that the Creator of the Whole Big Universe is intimately concerned with their sex lives?

A piece about pastors leaving ministry to find honorable work includes this interesting tidbit:

Atkinson shared some well-known statistics that contribute to the stress of pastors. They include declining or plateauing attendance in most congregations and the closure of up to 4,000 American churches annually.

The Southern Baptists admit on the order of 750-churches failing per year, so 4000 amongst all denominations has a believable sound to me.

Good. The Christian narrative is undoubtedly false, and the ethics are very bad; a set of teachings that rest ultimately on Abraham’s willing betrayal of his son deserves to die.

Y’all will be comforted to learn that the president of the school from which bona fide pseudo-historian David Barton claims an earned Ph.D. has responded to worries that he might be operating a diploma mill.

Some unsaved liberal academics are drastically opposed to our methods of assessment for earned degree credit, but they need only to concern themselves with their own anti-Christian and often Anti-Christ secular schools, which LCU has nothing in common with. Unfortunately in America, many of these institutions were founded as colonial seminaries, and early American seminaries. It is a tremendous blight on our nation that these secular education institutions have fallen so far from the grace of God, and are now tools of the enemies of God. The pendulum seems to have swung from godliness all the way to demon possession.

When critics complain about the independent, non-government accreditation that we have obtained, as opposed to secular government accreditation, my question is, “Why should the ministry education institutions subject themselves to unbelievers for academic oversight about education that they are absolutely ignorant of?” You wouldn’t ask a prostitute for their opinion on whether or not a virgin should remain pure until she is married. Neither should we subject ourselves to the scrutiny of the spiritually ignorant.
