It was too much to hope, I suppose, that the Buffoon-in-Chief would get off the ‘fake news’ schtick after a nutjob shot-up a newsroom last week after Trump has spent two years deliberately cultivating hostility to the press. I didn’t actually think that he would, but still …

So: What is going on here is probably no more than North Korea is carrying-out an amiable P.R. stall while frantically trying to revive their testing program.
Several signs are pointing to North Korea still working on its nuclear program
Recent satellite imagery from 38North shows ongoing construction work at a major North Korean nuclear research center as well as no signs of dismantlement at a separate site used to to test rocket engines.
U.S. intelligence officials told NBC News that Pyongyang may have recently increased production of fuel for nuclear weapons at multiple secret sites.
Such reports undermine ruler Kim Jong Un’s June 12 pledge of complete denuclearization.
So: Trump is claiming sole credit for something that hasn’t even happened. If the idiots who think that Trump is a Great Man weren’t certain to spend the next day celebrating The Donald’s rescue of Western civilization from rabid Korean hordes, this would be pathetic rather than dangerous.
