So: A sycophantic news outlet with less credibility than a Baptist preacher warns the Senate to do as it’s told, and Trump re-tweets it. This probably is thrilling to Trump’s dwindling base, but sane and decent-minded adults ought to wonder if Trump is aware that the Senate is an autonomous and co-equal branch of government, by design — and that the point of that design is erect a barrier that impedes swaggering yahoos.
