Donald Trump: Candidate for Darwin Award?

Apparently, Donald Trump and the Secret Service can’t agree on lease terms for the space the Service needs to protect him in Trump Tower.

Secret Service quits Trump Tower in dispute over lease

The Secret Service has moved out of Trump Tower in New York City to a street-level trailer in a dispute with the Trump Organization over a lease.

The federal agency which protects US presidents has been renting office space in the Midtown Manhattan skyscraper since 2015.

But its representatives are baulking at the cost and other unspecified rental terms, reports the Washington Post.

The Trump Organization said the agency should look elsewhere.

So: The Secret Service can’t provide adequate protection to the President of the United States because he thinks they should pay more for the privilege than they presently do. You couldn’t make this up; it’s like something from a Karl Hiaasen novel.

And puts The Donald in line for a Darwin Award. Gold-plated, of course.
