Most of us are raised, almost by default, with some sort of vague idea that devout Christians, and clergy especially, are somehow ‘better’ people — more trustworthy, more honorable, et cetera, et cetera.
That’s a successful marketing lie, and that’s all it is. Assume in church the exact same skeptical attitude you’d take to a used car lot.
