Theology-related quote for the day

For the first time in my life, I began to see the underbelly of evangelicalism.

The Wartburg Watch

Most of us are raised, almost by default, with some sort of vague idea that devout Christians, and clergy especially, are somehow ‘better’ people — more trustworthy, more honorable, et cetera, et cetera.

That’s a successful marketing lie, and that’s all it is. Assume in church the exact same skeptical attitude you’d take to a used car lot.

Discovered your blog when you once posted at the Wartburgwatch. Also discovered Bruce G’s blog when he once posted there.
