Clinton’s new campaign ad

I marvel that a man like Donald Trump is the choice of the Republican Party that I grew up with. This is the time for that handful of honorable conservatives who refused to associate themselves with him to form-up a new party, because the party of Trump will never be trusted by anybody sane. It doesn’t matter if they run around the day after the election and insist that they’re going to do better, be inclusive, quit defaming everybody in their catalog of others, quit conniving against the operation of the government, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. It doesn’t even matter if they are sincere; the stain of their association with Trump will never come out — and that sick pastiche of racists and evangelicals who are now the party base will never stand for it anyhow.

There are all sorts of issues about which there is room for disagreement with Jeb Bush, Lindsay Graham, John Kasich, John McCain, and so forth — but at least they are intelligent men grounded in reality and none of them is a blinking-neon whore like Chris Christie or Marco Rubio. They need to call a meeting and organize a new party.
