Here in Tabloid Nation …

The National Enquirer is now peddling a story which claims that Lee Harvey Oswald and Rafael Cruz, Ted Cruz’ nutjob Dominionist father, used to pass-out flyers together for the Fair Play for Cuba group.

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz’s Cuban-born dad was caught on camera in New Orleans — alongside Lee Harvey Oswald — just three months before the assassin killed President John F. Kennedy!

The ENQUIRER has the disturbing photographic evidence that was buried in secret U.S. government files, with Rafael Cruz, now 77, palling around with the man who murdered America’s 35th president!

Top D.C. insiders have confirmed to The ENQUIRER that “the man in the photograph is indeed Rafael!”

Naturally, The Donald is making hay.

“His father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald’s being — you know, shot. I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous,” Trump said in a phone interview with Fox News, according to Politico. “What is this, right prior to his being shot, and nobody even brings it up. They don’t even talk about that. That was reported, and nobody talks about it.”

What alarms, of course, is that Trump is not a figure of universal public ridicule, but the (almost) certain GOP nominee for President of the United States.

Trump also complained about Rafael Cruz’ remark that good evangelicals will of course vote for his son, Ted.

Donald Trump slammed Ted Cruz’s father Rafael Cruz for his attempts to court the evangelical vote in Indiana, which hold its primary today, and even brought up a tabloid report that links the elder Cruz to the Kennedy assassination.

‘I think it’s a disgrace that he’s allowed to do it,’ Trump said of Rafael Cruz’s vocal attempts to recruit Body of Christ evangelicals in the Hoosier State.

Trump then began bragging about evangelical support for him.

“You look at so many of the ministers that are backing me, and they’re backing me more so than they’re backing Cruz, and I’m winning the evangelical vote,” Trump continued. “It’s disgraceful that his father can go out and do that. And just — and so many people are angry about it. And the evangelicals are angry about it, the way he does that.”

“But I think it’s horrible,” he added. “I think it’s absolutely horrible that a man can go and do that, what he’s saying there.”

This probably locks-up Indiana for him.
