Dobson: Obergefell about hostility toward Christians

James Dobson recently instructed his handful-sized clutch of readers that the Supreme Court’s decision affirming same-sex marriage is not about marriage at all, but an expression of disdain for Christians.

“As you probably know, certain groups and organizations hate us. It is about weakening the church of Jesus Christ and limiting what pastors and ministers can say and do publicly,” he said. “It is about undermining the religious liberties of Christians that are guaranteed by the Constitution. It is about attacking Christian schools, Christian non-profit organizations such as Family Talk, and Christian businesses, hospitals, charities, and seminaries. It is about Christian colleges and universities, and about whom their leaders choose as professors and what their students will be taught. It’s about government funding and accreditation.

“It is all at risk. You’ll see.”

That’s the Christian narrative, all right — relentless persecution of good, decent, godly people by wicked-wicked-wicked people who hate the baby Jesus. And never mind asking how so many people ranging from the Stonewall Inn to the chambers of the Supreme Court were successfully inveigled into joining a convoluted conspiracy to ‘get’ Christians. It’s obvious! Anybody can see it!

Bah. Dobson is an idiot, and so are the people to whom that isn’t obvious.
