Just so’s you know, there is a group of Calvinists within the Southern Baptist Convention whose years-long hobbyhorse has been the sale of “doctrinally incorrect” books by Lifeway. Brent Hobbs defends the present method of selecting the books that Lifeway sells, and the Calvinists rejoin that he is no-account heretical dunderhead.
Since any reflective adult who has actually read that stupid book is bound to concede that the Bible is a compendium of the sacred texts of many different religions, the notion that it projects a single correct doctrine is ridiculous; that is the exact reason there are over 20,000 Christian denominations (besides roll-your-own tax fraud, I mean). Even so, the Godly like their Eternal Truth simple and the Calvinists will press their addle-headed complaint against the backdrop of record decline.
