The Vice President has the power to reject fraudulently chosen electors.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 5, 2021
No. The electors were certified by their respective states, and Vice-president Pence does not have the power to alter that; his role tomorrow is purely ceremonial.
Surely there are people around Trump who can tell him that? Or he has heard that said by some Constitutional scholar on television?
There is nothing to believe here but that Trump is deliberately sowing confusion. But why? No explanation presents itself but that he hopes to ride an enraged mob to a second term. Tomorrow, then, when D.C. is expected to host a slew of demonstrations, will be a critical day for the life of the country.
