Has Trump finally gone too far?

Has The Donald finally gone too far for evangelicals to stomach?

Maybe. After all, he approves of references to himself as the “King of Israel” and the “second coming of God.”

We worship one God and we await the coming of the Savior to judge the world. Donald Trump is not our Savior. Politicians didn’t make America great and won’t “Make America Great Again.”

Righteousness exalts a nation.

If we turn a blind eye to the blasphemy of the President of the United States because he has appointed justices that we like or because he opposes a party we don’t like, we are not seeking righteousness and we are contributing to the moral and spiritual degradation of America. We cannot build a great nation by giving approval to evil.

And this:

Let us not forget who we are and whose we are.

When Trump announced for the presidency with the allegation Mexicans are rapists, et cetera, et cetera, and complained that a Hispanic judge couldn’t justly oversee the suit against Trump University … evangelicals sat up and took notice. Interesting guy.

When Trump got caught in lie, after lie, after lie … evangelicals were charmed. When he got caught bragging about sexually assaulting women, evangelicals said not a word. When Trump paid-off a porn star, evangelicals said not a word. When the Mueller report showed that Trump had betrayed his country during the campaign, and he then humiliated his country at Helsinki, evangelicals said not a word. When he was snookered by a North Korean Stalin-clone, evangelicals said not a word.

But … BLASPHEMY!! That’s too far!!

Rest assured, pal — the rest of us know exactly who you are, and won’t be fooled again by your pious mewlings.
