Dawn and I are headed to the Outer Banks for several days, an annual visit for roughly 30-years now. The local governments out there have been smart about not letting the area be Disneyfied and junked-up, but there isn’t anything they can do about climate change and inexorable sea-level rise. It’s a beautiful area, and if you’ve never visited you should put it near the top of your list before the beaches are gone.
