The 4.9-metre (16ft) “Dumping Trump” robot was inspired by the Trump blimp which was the focal point of the protests against last year’s visit by the president. It depicts Trump with his trousers down, tweeting on the toilet, while his long red tie dangles into the bowl.
Trump deserves every bit of the contempt this display manifests, and then some. On the other hand, it is the home-team that’s taking the hit, and the U.S. deserves more respect than that. I suppose the way to think about it is to be grateful that it’s The Donald, not Uncle Sam, on the commode.
