At last, we can know the reason that evangelicals are flocking to The Donald as though he’s a savior. He is! Only The Donald stands between us and the triumph of The Antichrist!

We are in the final hour now, the final grains of sand are slipping through the hour glass. We stand on the brink of a one-world government, one-world religion, one-world money system, and the rise of the Antichrist. I will say that a Trump presidency will give us a stay of execution, only.

All the nonsense stirred up in the mainstream media, the propaganda, the lies, the racism stirred up, is all a ploy to take Mr. Trump down. My concern is that even if he becomes the nominee, he will be in danger for his life. The GOP wants a brokered convention to steal the nomination from the people’s choice. Personally, I don’t think they really want [Ted] Cruz either, but they have now co-opted him.

Well … damn. I wouldn’t have been so testy about the prospect of a Trump presidency if I had known that.

Tullian Tchividjian, once upon a time Civil Commotion’s go-to guy for reminders that we are all born no damn good and a putrid blot on the cosmos, is out of his brand-new personal-restoration ministry on allegations that — Whoops! — there are other indiscretions involving lady-friends (besides the one that got him fired).

Tchividjian’s dismissal appears to be related to new allegations of wrong doing involving another inappropriate relationship prior to the affair which led to his resignation at Coral Ridge. Also, the woman with whom Tchividjian had an improper relationship has accused him of owing money to her husband and of fooling his counselor while still pursuing her. Although the details are unclear, other new problems have surfaced which have been communicated to members of Liberate’s board.

As I sit here marveling that yet another pastor has gone down in flames for the very lack of ‘family values’ that are supposed to distinguish clergy, it occurs to me that maybe I’ve been too hard on them.

I’m a fair-minded guy, so here’s what I’m going to do: I’m going to meet them half-way. From now on, the official theology of this Web site is that preachers are born no damn good.

According to no less then Glenn Beck his Very Self, the Mightiest Prophet of them all, John Kasich is ‘delusional’ and a ‘son-of-a-bitch’ who is possibly going to ‘destroy the Republic.’

After co-host Pat Gray mocked Kasich on the radio program today for being “delusional” for staying in the race, Beck stated that “this guy is going to be remembered as a guy who possibly destroyed the republic.”

“It will be his arrogance,” Beck said, “he will go down in history as the guy who possibly destroyed the republic … We’re looking at a delusional guy.”

“Excuse my language,” Beck said later in the broadcast, “but you son of a bitch, the republic is at stake. This is not like a normal race. The republic is at stake!”

I feel silly, now; I’ve been going along wondering why the only approximation of a sane man in the Republican lineup can’t get traction.

It’s Officially Time to Redefine ‘Evangelical’
The term has been hijacked by politics for too long

I love that subhead because it puts me in mind of Nietzsche’s famous remark that truth and Christianity never come in contact with each other. The dismal reality is that, ever since the founding of Jerry Falwell’s Moral Majority, evangelicals have been trying to hijack our politics and, truth be told, they’ve done a pretty good job of it.

That’s why Donald Trump is winning the fight for the Republican nomination. The evangelicals adore him; he gives a voice to their malice.

So now, of course, it’s time to redefine/rebrand ‘evangelical’ because people like Michael Hamar and I have been right all along: The Republican Party is now in the custody of lunatics, and everybody with a functioning mind knows it.
