A 28-year-old North Carolina man is facing a murder charge after allegedly stabbing his wife in bed — but the newlywed claims he doesn’t remember carrying out the alleged crime because he might have done it in his sleep, PEOPLE confirms.

Gun pulled in fight between back to school shoppers at Walmart in Michigan

DETROIT — A gun was pulled after two pairs of women fought over the last notebook on a shelf at a Walmart in Michigan this week, according to police.

Tomorrow will be the 50-somethingth Labor Day Mackinac Bridge Walk, the one day a year when pedestrians are permitted onto the 6-mile long span between Michigan’s upper– and lower peninsulas.

Ordinarily, the north– or south-bound lane is closed, and pedestrians can walk across the bridge. I’ve never done it, but since the span is about 200-feet above the straits, I’m sure the view is spectacular.

This year, acknowledging the increasing popularity of using a car to mow down pedestrians, the Michigan State Police and the Department of Homeland Security insisted that all traffic had to be banned during the walk. So you can still walk, and earn a certificate attesting to the fact that you walked across the bridge, but there will be no automobile traffic because domestic or international terrorists might make a target of you.
