Looks like Puerto Rico is about to be thrown overboard.

Quote for the day

According to many Evangelicals, we are living in the last days. We should expect Jesus to return to planet earth at any moment to rapture away the people with advanced reservations, leaving behind billions of Buddhists, Muslims, Catholics, Hindus, Atheists, Agnostics, and Pagans, along with every other non-Christian. Then God will unwrap his Dexter-like tools of torture and homicide, slaughtering everyone who doesn’t remember the date, time, and place where Jesus saved them. Billions of people will die for no other reason than having the wrong religion or being born in the wrong country. Worse yet, when God is done killing everyone, he is going to resurrect them back to life, judge them, and toss their sorry asses in the Lake of Fire. God is so bent on making non-Christians pay for all the shit that went down over the past four or so thousand years, that he plans to give the people in the Lake of Fire new bodies that will withstand being roasted for eternity. Ain’t God awesome?

Tell me, dear Christians, why would anyone ever want to worship such a moral monster? Out of fear? Is that the best the Schmidts of the world have to offer — fear God, get saved, or he is going to roast you (or drown you)? No thanks. Even if such a God exists — and he doesn’t — who would want to worship him? Is such a deity worthy of my love and devotion?

Bruce Gerencser

YAY! You’ve got to be out of your mind to believe the Bible is inerrant and to believe that Revelation is future history, and it requires seriously deformed character to worship the incandescent sociopath portrayed in the Inerrant Bible. There is something seriously wrong with the devout. At the end of the day it really is as simple as that — and in view of the harm they are doing to the country, it is past time to stop being polite about it.

“You’re a worthless piece of $*%#”

I know: Many of y’all think I overstate Christianity’s indispensable metaphysical claim, the case for needing salvation — you’re no damn good.

Would you believe it if you heard it from a bona fide Baptist Holy Man?

At the end of the post, Noble decides that perhaps he isn’t an utterly worthless piece of … you know. Ho-hum. Any pastor who went to a serious-minded seminary knows perfectly well that the Adam and Eve story is nothing but gaudy nonsense that’s useful for exploiting the insecure. No Adam and Eve —> No Fall —> No such thing as Original Sin —> No need for salvation. If you think you’re innately no damn good, that’s nothing but your private psychological problem; it is not an objective metaphysical fact of reality.

Tithe wars

Is your local church fighting the globalists? Is it exposing the pedophile rings? Is it exposing the new world order? These churches want to play it safe right into hell. I know about these preachers behind the scenes. Let me tell you, I’ve never seen hookers that look so good. So you just need to understand these people got helicopters, they got cocaine, and they are partying. Everyone worships these stupid preachers and they’re not doing anything to fight the world government.

Alex Jones

Jones went on to suggest that tithing money would be better spent if it were sent to him, so I’m thinking we know now what the subject of a lot of sermons is going to be this weekend.

Quotes for the day

Were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter.

Thomas Jefferson

No man has profited more from FOX News’ dishonesty and exploitation of America’s latent racism than Donald Trump. If he possessed a scintilla of ordinary human decency and self-awareness he’d be squirming with shame at those tweets. Thank Goodness the Founders had more sense than the average Trump supporter and included the First Amendment.
