He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.<\/p>\n<p><sup>12<\/sup> There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>To cite this verse to uphold the &#8220;spiritual authority&#8221; of pastors seems clearly to be a perversion of the text&#8217;s plain meaning.  But, then, it makes sense once you grasp that Christianity is simply a cult that made it big.
