I pointed early last December<\/a> toward a deluge of books, just in time for Christmas, which undertook to explain that Our Invisible Friend had raised-up The Very Stable Genius-in-Chief to save the Good Ol’ U.S. of A. from all those vermin who go around having non<\/i>-SBC-approved thoughts.<\/p>\n

Here’s another book<\/a> meant to exploit the Godly:<\/p>\n

Kentucky County Clerk Kim Davis<\/span> released her new book, Under God\u2019s Authority: The Kim Davis Story<\/span>. This true story goes behind the scenes to reveal how God gave this unlikely candidate a platform to defend marriage and religious freedom.<\/p>\n

In this amazing narrative of redemption and courage<\/span>, Davis details her personal experience from the moment Kentucky\u2019s governor ordered the state\u2019s county clerks to issue same-sex marriage licenses, throughout her arrest and release from jail.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Though Ms. Davis’ refusal to obey the law can’t be overlooked, I have to admit I tended to view her as a sympathetic figure because of her long train of husbands and the awkward paternity of her children. It isn’t difficult to see that she’s a badly screwed-up and insecure person, or that her ‘piety’ is the source of whatever sense of self-worth she has.<\/p>\n

I probably won’t read this unless I can pick it up at a yard sale for 25-cents, but I do notice that no less than Mike Huckabee says “It’s a great read.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
