The relentless and painful crudities, the serial lies, the gratuitous insults of vastly more accomplished people, the blinding ignorance, the strange lack of curiosity, the preening Nazi-sympathizers and resolutely ignorant evangelicals who flocked to him, the plain corruption … we knew clearly who Donald Trump is well before the election and, to the abiding credit of the American people, a decisive majority rejected him. It is only a Constitutional oddity, the Electoral College, which put him in office.<\/p>\n
We now have exactly what every thinking adult knew we would have — a circus of deceptions and chaos and mismanagement. Our to-do list:<\/p>\n
Donald Trump must be removed from office.<\/p>\n
The Constitution must be amended to eliminate the danger, now manifest, posed by the Electoral College.<\/ol>\n
Trump will not go easily.
