I must be getting old, or something, because I find myself in the discomfiting position of feeling sorry for Russell Moore, Albert the Odious’ oleaginous understudy.1<\/sup><\/p>\n

A few weeks back, Moore rightly argued for the right of Muslims to build mosques, a position consonant with American ideals and the traditional Baptist distinctive favoring separation of church and state. And for months he has quite rightly — alas, on theological grounds, instead of something substantive and respectable — insisted that Donald Trump is unfit for the presidency.<\/p>\n

What’s not to like? In spite of the fact that he’s a Southern Baptist he has managed, despite that small-minded, ignorant, and anti-intellectual heritage, to put himself on the right side of things.<\/p>\n

Naturally, other Southern Baptists are battering him for it<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The hypocrisy of Russell Moore<\/span> oozes from his tweets. The man has frankly lost all \u201cethical\u201d credibility<\/span>. (Outraged Baptists ought also see to the loss of his ivory towered lobbying job<\/span>, too.) Moore\u2019s liberal social agenda has aligned the SBC with everything from Muslim mosque builders to the very crux of apostasy on the planet, a\/k\/a Rome<\/span> \u2026 but he\u2019s gonna blast attendees at an American political rally? (Anyone remember when Moore lauded the Pope being named Time Magazine\u2019s Person of the Year?)<\/p>\n

Calling out those in Trump\u2019s attendance for applauding rightly identified charlatans, Moore fails to acknowledge his own applause and fawning over Pope Francis. ((Is that aroma called \u201cPapal Eau de self-righteousness?\u201d Where does he buy that \u2026 and, is it paid for with tithes and offerings or is it a love-gift from the Vatican?)<\/p>\n

How is it a more egregious sin to meet with a man that may become our President, and applaud those in attendance, than it is to intentionally \u2013 not by invitation only \u2013 hand-hold with Islam or voluntarily back slap with the antichrist of the Tiber?<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So there you have it: Moore isn’t crazy enough for r-e-e-e-a-l Christians.<\/p>\n

How can you not love this?<\/p>\n
