Governor Pat McCrory signed the bill as soon as it reached his desk.<\/p>\n
\nThe North Carolina General Assembly on Wednesday approved a bill that would prevent local governments from passing nondiscrimination ordinances and from opening bathrooms for people to use based on the gender with which they identify.<\/p>\n
