Please read it and affirm it <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/3Q34RtHhdJ\">https:\/\/t.co\/3Q34RtHhdJ<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Ligonier\">@Ligonier<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Albert Mohler (@albertmohler) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/albertmohler\/status\/703344542817361922\">February 26, 2016<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/center><\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Christology&#8217; is that branch of theology concerned with the nature of the man Jesus, a subject of dispute since the very first century <i>anno domini<\/i>.  Don&#8217;t bother mentioning to these evangelical intellectuals that there is a solid basis for questioning whether or not the man Jesus ever even existed; they won&#8217;t hear it.<\/p>\n<p>Here is an annotated version of the statement which Albert the Pious urges all godly, right-minded people to affirm:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>We confess the mystery and wonder<br \/>\n &#0160; of God made flesh<br \/>\n &#0160; and rejoice in our great salvation<br \/>\n &#0160; <font color=\"red\">For we are all born no damn good, and deserve to burn in hell forever<\/font><br \/>\n &#0160; through Jesus Christ our Lord.<\/p>\n<p>With the Father and the Holy Spirit,<br \/>\n &#0160; the Son created all things,<br \/>\n &#0160; sustains all things,<br \/>\n &#0160; and makes all things new.<br \/>\n &#0160; <font color=\"red\">We believe these things without a scintilla of evidence<\/font><br \/>\n &#0160; Truly God,<br \/>\n &#0160; He became truly man,<br \/>\n &#0160; two natures in one person.<br \/>\n &#0160; <font color=\"red\">According to the Compromise of Nicaea<\/font><\/p>\n<p>He was born of the Virgin Mary<br \/>\n &#0160; <font color=\"red\">This was not known to the first generation of Christians<\/font><br \/>\n &#0160; and lived among us.<br \/>\n &#0160; Crucified, dead, and buried,<br \/>\n &#0160; He rose on the third day,<br \/>\n &#0160; ascended to heaven,<br \/>\n &#0160; <font color=\"red\">You&#8217;d think there&#8217;d be a contemporaneous record of an event like this <\/font><br \/>\n &#0160; and will come again &#0160;<br \/>\n &#0160; <font color=\"red\">This was supposed to happen within His generation, but &#8230; WHOOPS!<\/font><br \/>\n &#0160; in glory and judgement.<\/p>\n<p>For us,<br \/>\n &#0160; He kept the Law,<br \/>\n &#0160; atoned for sin,<br \/>\n &#0160; and satisfied God\u2019s wrath.<br \/>\n &#0160; <font color=\"red\">For we are no damn good<\/font><br \/>\n &#0160; He took our filthy rags<br \/>\n &#0160; <font color=\"red\">It is touching <i>us<\/i> which soils our clothing<\/font><br \/>\n &#0160; and gave us<br \/>\n &#0160; His righteous robe.<\/p>\n<p>He is our Prophet, Priest, and King,<br \/>\n &#0160; building His church,<br \/>\n &#0160; interceding for us,<br \/>\n &#0160; <font color=\"red\">Interceding with <i>Himself<\/i>, mind you<\/font><br \/>\n &#0160; and reigning over all things.<br \/>\n &#0160; <font color=\"red\">His reign has no responsibility for misfortune, however<\/font><\/p>\n<p>Jesus Christ is Lord;<br \/>\n &#0160; we praise His holy Name forever.<\/p>\n<p>Amen.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Bah.
