I’m no fan of either Donald Trump or<\/i> Pope Francis, but my sympathies lie with the Pope in the fracas du jour<\/i>. Francis was quite right that The Donald’s plan isn’t exactly Christian.<\/p>\n

In fact, I share the view that our border must be secured; with no border, the American southwest becomes nothing but an ungoverned territory.<\/p>\n

But, the Pope is right: That’s an un-Christian attitude. As for making Mexico pay for it — what’s not going to happen; it’s all bluster.<\/p>\n

So, anyway, The Pope’s criticism of The Donald was on the money — and The Donald is some kind of peeved about it. I downloaded this from Trump’s Web site, by the way, so unless it’s been hacked this is authentic.<\/p>\n
