On the left, the total of bonuses Wall Street handed-out to itself in 2014; on the right, the gross income (<i>before<\/i> taxes) of Americans working full-time for minimum wage.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.motherjones.com\/mojo\/2015\/03\/income-inequality-chart-wall-street-bonuses-minimum-wage\" target=\"_blank\"\"><center><img src=\"http:\/\/www.motherjones.com\/files\/income-inequality-2.0.gif\"><\/center><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Seriously: When the bonus money distributed inside a relatively small club is more than twice what America&#8217;s working poor earn, any nitwit should be able to see how far down the road we have gone toward an oligarchy.<\/p>\n<p>What shocks is that the middle-class evangelical right, encouraged by their clergy, have become the political shock troops for the very people who are screwing the country into the ground, cheering-on an insane, nihilistic Republican Party that has no policy but to frustrate the operation of the government.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here, in one graph, Mother Jones illustrates perfectly how grotesquely distorted the American economy has become.
