Not only is Ben Carson a nutjob who believes in a literal 6-day creation, and who rejects evolution, and never-ever stabbed anybody, and believes the pyramids are actually colossal granaries, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/story\/2015\/11\/ben-carson-west-point-215598\" target=\"_blank\">he also flat-out lied<\/a> about applying to, and being accepted by, West Point.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The academy has occupied a central place in Carson\u2019s tale for years. According to a story told in Carson\u2019s book, \u201cGifted Hands,\u201d the then-17 year old was introduced in 1969 to Gen. William Westmoreland, who had just ended his command of U.S. forces in Vietnam, and the two dined together. That meeting, according to Carson\u2019s telling, was followed by a \u201cfull scholarship\u201d to the military academy.<\/p>\n<p>West Point, however, has no record of Carson applying, much less being extended admission.<\/p>\n<p>[ &#8230; ]<\/p>\n<p>When presented with this evidence, Carson\u2019s campaign conceded the story was false.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Republican freak show is growing downright painful.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well.
