Judas proved it.\u201d <a href=\"http:\/\/t.co\/9gtGtlOltC\">http:\/\/t.co\/9gtGtlOltC<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Desiring God (@desiringGod) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/desiringGod\/status\/654260865491795968\">October 14, 2015<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/center><\/p>\n<p>There are two problems here.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>There&#8217;s not even a handful of pastors in the whole of Christendom who aren&#8217;t frantically mulcting their &#8216;sheep&#8217; for every dime they can get.<\/p>\n<li>\n<p>Judas is the worst possible example of greed.  After all, if Jesus was sent to earth (by himself) to be a blood sacrifice (to himself), then Jesus had to get himself onto the cross somehow; no Judas, no crucifixion, no salvation.<\/ol>\n<p>We should all be <I>grateful<\/I> to Judas &#8212; right?  Suppose, for example, that Jesus had never been betrayed.  In that case he would have become just another wild-eyed gray-haired nuisance hanging-out on street corners haranguing passersby about their wickedness.  What good would that have been to anybody?<\/p>\n<p>And what would John Piper be doing today?  Huh?
