So far:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>No civil war.<\/p>\n<li>\n<p>Western civilization is staggering right along, just like always.<\/p>\n<li>\n<p>No financial collapse.<\/p>\n<li>\n<p>No wrathful supernatural beings with swords of flame scything-down great masses of sinful humanity.<\/p>\n<li>\n<p>No foaming-at-the-mouth bears galloping up and down the street, downing screaming children in a single gulp.<\/p>\n<li>\n<p>No meteor strikes.<\/p>\n<li>\n<p>No hurricanes.<\/p>\n<li>\n<p>I have not been accosted by mobs demanding that I have sex with a rabid German Shepherd.  Not even once.<\/ul>\n<p>As a matter of fact, the only noticeable change in the quality of <i>my<\/i> life is that there seems to be no escaping deranged evangelicals who believe all those things are imminent.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pulpitandpen.org\/2015\/07\/02\/my-open-letter-of-apology-to-the-gay-community-from-a-christian\/\" target=\"_blank\">J.D. Hall<\/a>, for instance, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thegospelcoalition.org\/blogs\/kevindeyoung\/2014\/06\/17\/five-questions-for-christians-who-support-gay-marriage\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kevin De Young<\/a> (who seems to believe he can reason believers out of using the escape hatch that Matthew Vines has provided them and, by the way, I-I-I-C-K).  They&#8217;ll get over it.  Someday.
