{"id":12995,"date":"2021-01-21T13:59:15","date_gmt":"2021-01-21T18:59:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bobfelton.com\/?p=12995"},"modified":"2021-01-21T13:59:30","modified_gmt":"2021-01-21T18:59:30","slug":"tony-perkins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.bobfelton.com\/?p=12995","title":{"rendered":"Tony Perkins goes nuts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Four years of Trumpism trained Tony Perkins to abject sycophancy, and he hasn&#8217;t yet rediscovered how to make sense when he is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frc.org\/get.cfm?i=PR21A02\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in opposition<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Sadly, the Biden administration is planning to go much further in its <SPAN style=\"BACKGROUND-COLOR: #a8f2f5\">assault on biological reality<\/span> and is <SPAN style=\"BACKGROUND-COLOR: #a8f2f5\">expected<\/span> to order schools to <SPAN style=\"BACKGROUND-COLOR: #a8f2f5\">abolish girls&#8217; sports<\/span> and <SPAN style=\"BACKGROUND-COLOR: #a8f2f5\">force boys and girls to use the same showers and locker rooms<\/span>, and <SPAN style=\"BACKGROUND-COLOR: #a8f2f5\">maybe even bunk together<\/span> on school trips.<\/p>\n<p>The party that claims to be the party of science is advancing policies on day one that deny reality.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Who could have foreseen that an executive order prohibiting LGBTQ discrimination could have such consequences?  Not me.<\/p>\n<p>This is all, of course, too ridiculous to bother discussing; Perkins has gone off to La-La Land.  Unfortunately, much of the Evangelical Right lives in the same dark fever swamp, and will take him seriously.
