Mohler isn&#8217;t crazy enough for the Pulpit and Pen crowd.  His offense?  He&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/albertmohler.com\/2020\/08\/03\/briefing-8-3-20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">not unreservedly enthusiastic<\/a> about John MacArthur&#8217;s refusal to obey California&#8217;s lockdown order.<\/p>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I&#39;m not there yet, but I could be in another six months&#8230; <\/p>\n<p>I fear that the Churchill scholar is almost playing the role of Neville Chamberlain as regards the most consequential issues facing his school and the SBC.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Brandon Vanderford (@Totally_Brandon) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Totally_Brandon\/status\/1290352905770414084?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 3, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Neville Chamberlain, who returned from a conference with Adolf Hitler proclaiming that he&#8217;d found &#8220;peace for our time&#8221;?  Mohler is just like <i><u>that<\/u><\/i> Neville Chamberlain because he seems to think that churches ought to cooperate with efforts to control the spread of a deadly pandemic?<\/p>\n<p>This is why Covid-19 isn&#8217;t coming under control; the evangelicals&#8217; relentless attacks against science and expertise have borne fruit. <\/p>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We know the feeling.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Miguel L. It is s-o-o-o distressing when a safely-crazy Holy Man occasionally makes worldly sense.<\/p>\n<p>None of which is to suggest, at all, that I feel kind of sorry for Mohler; I do not.  He has devoted his life to the degradation of other human beings and the disparagement of science, and it tickles me to see him on the receiving end.
