{"id":12132,"date":"2020-05-01T16:17:20","date_gmt":"2020-05-01T20:17:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bobfelton.com\/?p=12132"},"modified":"2020-05-03T03:48:47","modified_gmt":"2020-05-03T07:48:47","slug":"u-p-daydreams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.bobfelton.com\/?p=12132","title":{"rendered":"U.P. daydreams"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve spent much of the afternoon idly daydreaming about the next visit to Michigan&#8217;s Upper Peninsula, where I went to college and probably <i>won&#8217;t<\/i> be able to visit this summer because of the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Naturally, that means going through the photos.  Here are a few of my favorites.<\/p>\n<p><center><br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/www.bobfelton.com\/images\/updd1_a.jpg\" width=600><\/p>\n<p>\nSomewhere along the western edge of the Keweenaw Peninsula,<br \/>at the western end of the U.P.<\/p>\n<p>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/www.bobfelton.com\/images\/updd2.jpg\" width=600><\/p>\n<p>\nTahquamenon Falls, no rival to Niagara, no matter the booster&#8217;s claims,<br \/>but still pretty and you can&#8217;t go to the U.P. without a visit.<\/p>\n<p>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/www.bobfelton.com\/images\/updd3.jpg\" width=600><\/p>\n<p>\nSomebody&#8217;s idea of a joke, but not so implausible as it may seem.<\/p>\n<p>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/www.bobfelton.com\/images\/updd4.jpg\" width=600><\/p>\n<p>\nMiner&#8217;s Castle, at the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, near Munising.<\/p>\n<p>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/www.bobfelton.com\/images\/updd5.png\" width=600><\/p>\n<p>\nOK, kind of hokey, but an exemplar for the friendliness of the entire Upper Peninsula.<\/p>\n<p>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/www.bobfelton.com\/images\/updd6_a.jpg\" width=600><\/p>\n<p>\nYou-know-who.<\/p>\n<p>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/www.bobfelton.com\/images\/updd7.jpg\" width=600><\/p>\n<p>\nMy favorite road sign in the universe.
