Bill Donohue: Always a class act

When Bishop Robert Finn was convicted last week of shielding a pedophile, the National Catholic Reporter responded by calling for his resignation — and good for them. But Bill Donohue sees the matter differently:

It is almost always this way: The Pious convince themselves it’s the church, or the pastor, who is being victimized. We know how so many damaged, screwed-up men end-up in the pulpit, but we need to start asking what is wrong with the people who listen to them and defend the predators who sexually exploit their own children.

Seriously: The more of this I see, the more I think of church as bad group therapy. There is a lot amiss on both sides of the pulpit.
