Gays and Independence

Michael Hamar provides an overview of gays’ role in the American Revolution and, apparently, the roster includes some well-known names: Baron von Steuben, for instance, and — get ready — Alexander Hamilton.

Hamilton? The co-author of The Federalist? That Hamilton? Apparently so.

It’s an interesting piece, and good Independence Day reading.
