When Voice of the Martyrs Executive Director Tom White committed suicide last week, in the course of an investigation into allegations that he had molested a 10-year old girl, it needed no time at all for the Pious to begin wondering if it was actually the fault of that tarty li’l girl.

Christians who would even considering blaming a 10-year-old victim must get counseling themselves. Do you think this couldn’t happen? Wade Burleson has deleted the comments on this post for good reason. There was actually a commenter who said that this child could be either a Tamar or a Bathsheba! How sick is that?

This is the almost invariable pattern; it is noteworthy when a congregation doesn’t turn on the victim.
