Those marines

The prevailing huff-and-puff concerns a group of four marine snipers, probably in Afghanistan, urinating on the corpses of dead Taliban fighters.

We’re all bound to agree that it’s disrespectful but, then, so is summarily executing enemy combatants from a hidden distance, and planting IEDs where any unlucky passerby might be blown to bits.

I wonder sometimes: What the hell do the American people think goes on in a war, anyhow? Are we, corporately, so naive as to imagine that these vigorous young men can be trained to a razor’s edge, handed lethal weapons … and expected to bring home the Lady Byng Trophy?

They are sent there for the single purpose of killing the enemy, as swiftly and cheaply as possible, and the only thing to irritate that I see in the video is that they were wasting time on a juvenile ceremonial instead of hustling to the next killing zone.

While deplorable, I doubt the taliban is treating the nato troops corpses with very much respect either.  These marines were pretty dumb to tape this or any action in a war zone. The only thing that can come from tape is trouble.  That said some counseling is in order. They have lost the ability to have compassion. That is a recipe for disaster when they get home.

There is no compassion in total war, ask the ancient Romans.

I don’t care if our Marines peed on the dead bodies of people who just a little while before were trying their best to kill the Marines. It was childish and not military procedure. They should receive some kind of light punishment  such as extra kitchen duty and some push-ups, but that is about it. I’m tired of the press, liberals, and people who sit safely in non combat zones criticizing American soldiers who are in danger of death and/or horrible injuries.

They should receive a reward for killing our enemies, similar to

bounty hunting, not having to incur any sort of punisment.

Urine the Army now, Your not behind a plow…….
As a former Marine and the father of a soldier deployed in Afghanistan, I offer the following to those who have never heard a shot fired in anger:
Teenagers are taken to camps where they are psychologically and physically stripped of their former lives; transformed into killing machines; taught to deploy ruthless Shock and Awe. Overwhelm and terminate become mantras. This, gentle reader, is a US Marine, or Army combatant. This, while you snore peacefully,  is what keeps the real nightmares like 9/11 away. The prissy outrage over cocktails, aimed at a few out of control young men who are stoked on that most powerful of drugs, adrenaline – exhilhirated by the realization that they are yet alive, and those who wished them dying in agony or beheaded lie fallen – is disengenuous and blatantly hypocritical in a society which sends its sons to be instruments of War; the ultimate monstrosity. If any punishment is to be meeted out, we should all, collectively, shoulder our share.

The United States and her Allies have screwed around long enough by not

declaring “TOTAL WAR”  in the same fashion that World War Two was terminated

in the  Pacific.  Had the Allies maintained the fortitude to eliminate our enemies,

with the use of the Atomic Bomb, men such as these young Marines would not

have been employed as a single killing machine in the first place, because the war

would have been terminated many months earlier employing the “TOTAL WAR”

concept.  Our Western Allies have not learned anything from History concerning

how the Ancient Roman’s waged war.  The Ancient Romans were not hampered

by Terms of Engagement, Collateral Damage, and Political Correctness, therefore,

our fighting forces should not be hampered by these distraction either.  Recalling

my lessons in History, during World War Two, Germany and Japan were leveled,

but there was never an outcry from anyone concerning the killing of civilians

and the damage to property.  The more damage that was inflicted during World

War Two, the sooner the war was brought to an end.  Where is that same rationale

in the United States, for it surely does not lie in psyche of the moron that occupies

the White House.  He would rather observe American troops suffer, rather than

issue the order to eliminate Ahmedinejad, the dictator of Iran and is fellow

Mullahs, by the use of the atomic bomb.  Obama has never worn the uniform,

therefore, he has no idea what it means to maintain the title:  “COMMANDER-IN-

CHIEF.”  It is because of Obama, George Soros and THE NEW WORLD ORDER, that

the war in the Middle East has not been terminated.

  • Jeanbfs

Sounds like “these vigorous young men” “trained to a razor’s edge” need some more training.

    • http://disqus.com/dashboard/#account Dennis Paul Habern

I concur.  Send them to SEAL training to ensure that they become

trained in further methods of killing.
